Repairing a Community Hoop

December 22nd, 2016
The idea for Sprint to Cite Soleil was born when Sam Shapiro walked across an abandoned basketball hoop in 2015. On December 22nd of 2016, that same court was repaired by Sprint to Cite Soleil. With the help of generous community members and the Sprint to Cite Soleil team we were able to put up backboards, basketball hoops and play basketball on this court!  It was an exciting day for this Cite Soleil neighborhood! Gen espwa (have hope)!

The former professionals walked the kids through drills and mentored the kids on the game of basketball. Maybe you will see one of these young players in the NBA someday! Gen espwa (have hope)!
